- Focal lasers are used to directly treat specific portions of the eye and especially to treat retinal tears and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Calvin Mein, MD, explains the uses, procedures, and outcomes of using a focal laser for your eye treatment.

- For patients with diabetes, diabetic macular edema is one of the leading causes of vision loss. In this video, Dr. Eric Chen discusses how over time patients with diabetes develop diabetic macular edema, which is the swelling of the central part of the retina because of bad or fragile blood vessels.
